Families

FAMILIES
These are the ways that families in Columbus STEM School connect with their children’s teachers. By staying involved in their child’s education, parents can help to ensure that their child is successful in school.
- Parent-teacher conferences: These are formal meetings held once or twice a year to discuss the student’s academic progress and any concerns that the parents or teacher may have.
- Weekly communication: Teachers send weekly emails to parents with updates on their child’s learning, upcoming assignments, and any other important information.
- Classroom volunteer opportunities: Parents can volunteer in their child’s classroom on a regular basis to help with activities, projects, or simply to provide support to the teacher.
- School events: Families are encouraged to attend school events, such as back-to-school night, parent-teacher conferences, and sporting events. This is a great way to get to know the teachers and other families in the school community.
- Online platforms: The school uses an online platform to communicate with families. This platform allows parents to view their child’s grades, attendance, and assignments, as well as to message the teacher directly.
